The LAND USE, CARBON & EMISSION DATA portal aims to provide better and more transparent global information on deforestation and drivers, (forest) carbon, land use change and greenhouse gas emissions to better understand and manage land change dynamics on multiple scales and to support climate change mitigation efforts.
The data we provide on the LUCID portal is based on published research carried out at the Laboratory for Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing in close collaboration with the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), as part of CIFOR's Global Comparative Study on REDD+, and other partners.
The LUCID data is free to download and available for your use as long as the proper references, as specified in the metadata, are applied. We are also open to collaboration so don't hesitate to contact me with ideas or questions!
The project started in 2017.
